Regulation on Fluorinated Greenhouse Gases

The Regulation on Fluorinated Greenhouse Gases of the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization entered into force upon publication in the official gazette dated 04.01.2018 and numbered 30291.

The purpose of this Regulation is to control emissions from fluorinated greenhouse gases and to regulate the procedures and principles regarding the use of fluorinated greenhouse gases listed in the Kyoto Protocol to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, to which our country is a party, and products or equipment containing fluorinated greenhouse gases.

This Regulation;

a) Basic principles regarding fluorinated greenhouse gases and principles regarding electronic records, labeling, leakage controls, reporting, marketing and use bans of fluorinated greenhouse gases and products or equipment containing fluorinated greenhouse gases,

b) Regulations regarding the training and certification of real and legal persons who intervene in products or equipment containing fluorinated greenhouse gases,

c) Fixed devices or applications that contain 3 (three) kilograms or more of fluorinated greenhouse gas or operate with 3 (three) kilograms or more of fluorinated greenhouse gas,

covers.
